Luxury Meets Leading-Edge Efficiency

It's all a question of priorities. LaCrosse's standard engine is a smooth, quiet direct-injected V6 that has been upgraded for 2012 and now produces a spirited 303 hp. Or you can choose an advanced eAssistTM system designed to save fuel without sacrificing performance. The eAssistTM system combines a 2.4L ECOTEC® engine, a next-generation 6-speed automatic transmission, a 115V lithium-ion battery and more to make the most of every litre of fuel. The result is an anticipated 32% improvement in fuel efficiency compared with a V6 LaCrosse.

Technologies for Traction

To help you get safely to your destination, even in bad driving conditions, LaCrosse offers an array of advanced driver control technologies, including the standard iStabiliTrak® electronic stability control system. For the ultimate in all-weather traction, there's an available Haldex intelligent All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system. It senses a loss in traction and automatically redistributes power to the wheel or wheels with the most grip. It works with the electronic rear ilimited-slip differential to send up to 80 percent of the engine's torque to any individual wheel.

LaCrosse Luxury, Now Available in Extra-Spicy

For those who take their driving seriously, LaCrosse offers some of the most serious hardware around. Choose the Ultra Luxury Touring Group and your car will feature continuously variable real-time front suspension sysetm with a driver-selectable Sport mode, plus a premium H-arm rear suspension. Perhaps the most important upgrade, though, is the front suspension that uses Buick's innovative HiPer strut technology. The HiPer Strut design reduces torque steer and minimizes the vehicle's reaction to tire and wheel imbalances. The system produces more communicative steering through improved camber control, while better isolating the vehicle from bumps and rough road surfaces.
