THREE FORMS OF POWER.

Understanding that different people place different demands on their truck, Colorado offers three Vortec engines. Each is engineered to respond to a distinct set of priorities. The standard 185 hp Vortec 2.9L 4-cylinder and available 242 hp 3.7L 5-cylinder engines both feature Variable Valve Timing (VVT) that not only boosts low-end torque, but also fuel efficiency. If more power is required, Colorado also offers the available 300 hp Vortec 5.3L V8 engine. All three engines feature the durability that Chevy is famous for.

A MATTER OF CHOICE.

Three engines, three cabs, three suspensions. Colorado offers a comprehensive lineup that enables you to spec out your truck to match the exact demands you place on it. Beyond the three engines listed above, Colorado also offers Regular, Extended and Crew Cab configurations. And there are three suspensions, each with its own ride characteristics. On top of the smooth riding Z85 Standard suspension, there's the added off-road capabilities offered by the Z71 Off-Road Package, and the enhanced performance of the ZQ8 Sport Package.

CONTROL - THE FIRST PILLAR OF SAFTEY.

Every Colorado is equipped with a host of driver control features that help you stay clear of incidents. Beyond the 4-wheel anti-lock braking system and electronic traction control, Colorado also includes StabiliTrak®. It detects a loss of lateral traction (sideslip), understeer (plowing) or oversteer (fishtailing), and helps return the truck to your intended line by incrementally applying an individual brake and if necessary, by reducing engine torque. As an electronic stability control system, it has proven to reduce the risk of a fatal single-vehicle crash by a remarkable 63 percent†.
