Every Leggat dealership uses one pricing standard on every new, used and demo vehicle. Here’s exactly what’s in our prices, how to read them, and how our payment estimates work.
If we charge it, it’s already in the price. Ontario’s all-in price advertising rules, enforced by OMVIC, require it. We think it’s simply the right way to sell a car.
That’s it. These are the only two things the law lets a dealer leave out of the advertised price, and every price on our site says “+HST & Lic” so you always know.
Optional extras, like extended warranties, are never added without your say. If you choose one, it’s quoted separately.

Every discount is shown line by line, so you can see how we got to the number.
Some factory offers have conditions, like graduate, military or loyalty programs. We never include those in the advertised price, because not every shopper qualifies. Instead, you add the ones that apply to you in the payment calculator and watch your price update.
Each manufacturer sets its own eligibility and combination rules, and offers change monthly. Our team will confirm what you qualify for before you sign.
The weekly number on a listing is a starting point. Open the payment calculator on any vehicle to make it yours.
A down payment of 13% of the selling price, unless the listing says otherwise, plus the rate and term shown beside the payment. Taxes are excluded unless you switch on “Include taxes.”
Choose finance, lease or cash. Change the term, payment frequency and cash down, add your trade value, and select the incentives you qualify for.
Open “Finance details” for the APR, term and total cost of borrowing behind every payment. All financing is on approved credit (OAC).
Lease offers are based on the kilometre allowance in the listing, typically 16,000 to 20,000 km a year. Extra kilometres usually cost $0.07 to $0.20 per km plus tax, set by each manufacturer’s finance company.
Compare a Kia with a Mazda, or a Ford with a Toyota. Every price on leggat.ca is built the same way, so the comparison is fair.
The advertised price is the price. Save the vehicle or screenshot the listing if you like.
Your bill of sale lists each fee that makes up the price, so you can check it line by line.
The only two additions. Your trade-in can reduce the HST you pay.
Protection plans and extended warranties are optional and quoted separately.
Any fee we charge, including administration and the OMVIC transaction fee, is already in the advertised price. You won’t see it added on top.
They’re the only two items Ontario’s all-in pricing rules allow dealers to leave out, because they depend on you rather than the vehicle. HST is 13%, and a trade-in can lower the amount you pay.
On used vehicles, the Finance Price includes an extra discount when you finance through Leggat, on approved credit. If you pay cash or bring your own financing, the Cash Price applies. Both are all-in before HST and licensing.
Listing payments are estimates based on a 13% down payment and the rate and term shown. Your actual payment depends on credit approval, your down payment, trade-in, term, taxes and any incentives you qualify for.
Sometimes. Each manufacturer sets its own rules for which offers can be combined, and they change monthly. Our team will confirm everything you qualify for before you sign.
Yes. The advertised price of a used vehicle includes safety certification. If a vehicle is ever sold as-is, the listing will say so clearly.
We work hard to keep every listing accurate. If we find an error, we’ll correct it and let you know the right price as soon as we’re aware of it.
Prices exclude HST and licensing. Examples on this page are for illustration only. Payments are estimates on approved credit; actual rate, term and payment depend on credit approval, down payment and the vehicle selected.
